ROGUE CHEER ATHLETICS
Hello Rogue Cheer families!
We are so excited for the upcoming competition season and the amazing experiences our athletes will have. To help you plan, I’ve put together some important travel details for our upcoming events. Please read this information carefully and let me know if you have any questions.
Battle At The Capitol – Roseville, CA
- Who is Competing: Wranglers, Outlaws, and Renegades (S4)
- Location: Roebelen Center, Roseville, CA
- Competition Date: Saturday, November 8th
- Schedule: We will compete in the morning, and the event is typically over by 1-3 pm. We all stay for awards, get pictures afterwards and then go our separate ways.
- Website with admission, parking details etc: https://www.jamz.com/ch/battle-at-the-capitol
- Travel & Lodging:
- Most families stay the night on Friday and drive home after the competition on Saturday for BATC.
- Coach’s Hotel: Coach Stevie and I as well as any S4 athletes traveling with us will be staying at the Best Western Plus Orchid Hotel & Suites. We booked a room with two double beds and a pull-out sofa to maximize space. We chose this hotel for its safety, cleanliness, and ample beds. You are welcome to stay at the same hotel if you wish, but it is not required. I booked my room through booking.com, which had a “no payment until you stay” option.
- Us coaches typically do not use the pool the night before a competition, but some families may choose to coordinate and book at the same hotel if their athletes enjoy that kind of pre-competition activity 🙂
- The draft lineup will be released by Jamz two Tuesdays before the event. The exact competition check in / performance time will be released the Tuesday before we compete.
Travel with Coach (for S4 Athletes ONLY):
- I have seats in my van for any S4 athletes whose parents are unable to attend the Roseville and Stockton competitions.
- Travel Fee: The travel fee is $50 per athlete. This covers $25 for gas and $25 for one night of lodging. Meals are not included, but our hotel has a complimentary breakfast.
- Important Deadline: If your S4 athlete needs to travel with me for BATC, I need to know by September 25th.
NA West Coast State Championships – Anaheim, CA
- Who is Competing: Renegades and Outlaws
- Location: Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA
- Competition Date: Saturday, December 13th
- Schedule: This will likely be an all-day event. The draft lineup will be released two Tuesdays before the event. The exact competition check in / performance time will be released the Tuesday before we compete.
- Website with admission, parking details etc: https://www.jamz.com/ch/na-west-coast-state-championship
Travel & Lodging:
- This is a one-day competition. If you are not staying for the Disney park days, you would likely fly home on Sunday, December 14th, as we anticipate a late finish on Saturday.
- Flights: For myself, Coach Stevie, and any athletes traveling with us, we will be flying out of Medford to LAX on Friday, December 12th and returning on Tuesday, December 16th. I will be booking airfare by early November.
- I always use Skyscanner.com to find the best airfare. Currently, round-trip tickets are ranging from $160-$200. We do not require families to book the same flight as us, as many of you have travel discounts or miles saved up.
- Hotel: We will be staying on Katella Ave, likely at the Desert Palms Inn and Suites, or one of the neighboring hotels on W. Katella Ave. Ive lodged myself and my athletes at the Desert Palms many times over the years. It is a convenient and safe walk to both the Anaheim Convention Center and Disneyland.
- I will be booking the hotel in early November
The Travel Crew Option:
- I am offering a “Travel Crew” option for families who want to travel with the coaches. This means you would book the same flight and hotel as us.
- If we have enough people (15+), I can arrange a round-trip shuttle from the airport to our hotel for about $20 per person roundtrip.
- Important Deadline: Please let me know if you are interested in being part of the Travel Crew for the Anaheim trip by early October. This can be both Renegades and Outlaws athletes / families.
- Disneyland with the Team:
- For those staying, myself, the coaches, and our travel crew will be going to the Disney Parks on Sunday, December 14th and Monday, December 15th.
- We highly encourage you to join us! It creates incredible team memories. This will be my NINTH time doing a competition in Anaheim + Disney days with my teams. First one was in 2017 when I coached at Cascade Christian. 3 times with CCHS and then 5 times with Rogue! One of these trips was Disneyworld / Varsity Nationals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports! We hope to go back to Florida in 2027 🙂
- We will be getting a two-day Park Hopper ticket and will start at Disneyland on Day 1 and California Adventure on Day 2. We will also do a “team ride” together on the first day where all of us who are at the parks will choose one ride to do together.
- Two-day Park Hopper tickets are currently in the $407-$420 range per person. I will be putting tickets on layaway at the end of October through getawaytoday.com (I’ve used this website many times for Disney travel).
Athlete Travel with Coaches (for S4 Athletes ONLY who’s parents aren’t attending Anaheim competition):
- If your S4 athlete travels with me, the estimated cost will include:
- Lodging: $150 total (4 nights)
- Disneyland Tickets: Approximately $400-$420
- Airfare ($160-$200)
- Food $
- Important Deadline: I need to know if your S4 athlete will be traveling with me by October 25th so I can book their airfare, Disney tickets on layaway and make additional hotel arrangements.
Competition Fee Payment Plan & Showcase
For the Stockton competition on Jan 10th and March 28th – I will be staying at the University Plaza (http://universityplazawaterfronthotel.com) . It is part of the Adventist Health Arena grounds (where we compete) so your car is safely parked for the duration of the weekend and there’s fairly reasonably priced food there at the hotel. The rate is usually in the $140-$180/night and it’s a nice place. I would not reccomend staying elsewhere in Stockton but consider Lodi area if you dont want to stay at the University Plaza. Please see admission and other details at the following links: https://www.jamz.com/ch/showdown-at-the-bay / https://www.jamz.com/ch/nor-cal-challenge-cup
As outlined in the team info document, the competition fees of $565 is due by November 1st. Many of you are currently fundraising for this. This was the base rate amount specifically for S4 before we added hip hop. It is significantly less for Wranglers athletes.
If you need a payment plan, here are the optional breakdowns for that amount listed above :
RENEGADES (S4) ATHLETES (non-hip-hop)
November 1st: $70 (BATC) + $70 (WCC)
December 1st: $70 (SATB)
January 20th: $130 (JAMZ Nationals Registration)
March 1st: $70 (Nor Cal Cup)
April 1st: $130 (JAMZ Pinnacle Nationals Registration)
S4 AND Hip Hop Crossover Athletes: Your fees are the amounts above plus an additional $50 crossover fee per event. For example, your November 1st payment would be $120. You are competing in TWO events so the fee is higher.
Hip Hop ONLY Athletes: Your fees are the same as S4 non-hip hop athletes.
Wranglers (non-hip hop): Your fees are the same as S4 non-hip hop, but you are only competing at the Roseville and two Stockton events (plus the Grants Pass Competition the first Saturday in December and the February showcase)
Wranglers also on Hip Hop: Your fees are the same as S4 who are also on hip hop.
Southern Oregon Cheer and Dance Showcase: Please keep Monday, February 16th open from 4-8 pm. We are hosting an amazing community event at Rogue X Community Center, and all Rogue teams will be performing. More details to come!
For S4 and Outlaws parents – I’m excited to share that while I haven’t included information yet for Nationals on February 22nd-23rd and The Pinnacle on May 9th-10th, I can tell you that both events will be attended by our S4 and Outlaws athletes and they will be held at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Coaches and most athletes will stay at the Orleans Hotel, conveniently attached to the Arena. The event has set aside blocks of rooms for competitors and their families, with rates being very affordable, typically ranging from $80 to $130 a night. You can find more details about these two significant events through the following links below. Both are two-day events, and it’s important to note that the second day of Jamz Nationals in February falls on a Monday. Our travel schedule typically includes leaving on Saturday, competing on Sunday and Monday, and returning home on Tuesday. Like other events, there will be a Travel Crew option available for athletes who wish to travel with us coaches. See more details on these events here: https://www.jamz.com/n/na-nationals / https://www.jamz.com/ns/the-pinnacle-cheerleading-championship Please remember, if S4 receives a bid to The Champion (a prestigious event taking place the day before The Pinnacle at the same arena), we will compete on Saturday, May 8th, and depart from Medford to Vegas on Friday. We received a bid last season and are confident we will get one again. Regardless, S4 and Outlaws will be attending The Pinnacle as their final event, no matter what! Wranglers’ final event will be the Nor Cal Cup Challenge in Stockton.

I know this is a TON of information! Bear with me, once you’ve done this once it’ll be something you look forward to EVERY season. It sounds like a lot because I’ve broken it down in detail. Most coaches do not do this; they simply state where they perform, the time a few days before, and ask for the money. We try to make these competitive experiences as obtainable and fun as possible for our families! You have lots of flexibility as you are not required to stay with the team, but you can also be very involved and stay with the team if you want. I am here to answer any questions. If you have specific questions about competition, fees, etc., the best way would be to ask me in person or send me an email at RogueCheerAthleticsStaff@gmail.com.
Cheerfully, Coach Becky
ps – please note that if your athlete is on Odyssey with Rush Athletics your additional competitions are located on this page. Competition fees as well as costume cost will be shared this week for Odyssey. We will be traveling down to Yreka again on Sunday September 28th.
