Join the Rogue family for our most exciting season yet! Whether you are a beginner looking for a fun new hobby or an elite athlete ready to compete on a national stage, we have a place for you. At Rogue, we pride ourselves on having a team for every skill level and commitment ability.

Team Placements & Tryouts
- Evaluations: For most teams (hip hop included), a scheduled practice time over several days will take place as our “assessment time.” Coaches observe skill levels and get an idea of family commitment to make an educated decision on the best team fit.
- Gunslingers & Renegades: These are our only teams that require a formal tryout. This “rite of passage” helps us assess material, jumps, and team readiness for our older, high-level teams.
DISCLAIMER: We do not make cuts at Rogue Cheer Athletics. As long as the athlete can make the commitment and attends the required placement or tryout dates, they will make a team, ensuring that everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to our cheer family! This inclusive approach not only fosters a sense of belonging within our athletic community but also encourages each individual to develop their skills, build lifelong friendships, and embrace teamwork and sportsmanship. We believe that every athlete, regardless of their experience level, brings unique value to the team, and our dedicated coaching staff is here to support their journey every step of the way!
✨TRYOUT AND TEAM PLACEMENT DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN EARLY SPRING✨

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
If I am on a team at another gym, can I still join Rogue? Absolutely! We are perfectly fine with athletes who are currently competing with other programs joining us. For example, if you are a cheerleader at another local Southern Oregon gym but want to join one of our Hip-Hop teams, you are welcome! Please note that your commitment to Rogue must take priority, and managing multiple team schedules can be very challenging.
I previously left Rogue to join another gym or take time off. Will this impact my chances of making a team now? Not at all. We understand that athletes sometimes need to explore other options, and we support that! We welcome returning athletes with open arms. The only time we do not allow an athlete to return is if they previously quit mid-season, leaving their team and the gym in a difficult situation.
Do you make “cuts” during tryouts? No. We have a spot at Rogue for every skill and commitment level. Tryouts for Gunslingers and Renegades ensure the right fit for our 18U teams, while all other teams use an “assessment period” during early practices to place athletes where they will be most successful.
Where do we compete? Newer athletes typically compete locally in Northern California and Oregon. Our elite teams travel across the West Coast (Oregon, California, Nevada) and to Florida. A full “Projected Season Cost” for travel teams and a competition schedule will be released in early summer. If you would like a ballpark idea of the the cost please let us know!
When are tryouts and team placements? These dates will be announced in early Spring however a general idea can be found on the attached grid for Szn 7.
What teams will be traveling to Florida? Renegades (S4) will be the team who travels to Varsity’s The Quest in Orlando, Florida in March 2027. We will do other nationals events in California, Vegas and Oregon as well. We only intend to travel to Vegas once for Szn 7.
