RENEGADE COMPETITIVE TEAMS

PLANS FOR THE 2023-2024 ROGUE CHEER SEASON

Rogue Cheer Athletics is a recreational cheer program established in August 2020. Competitively Rogue follows Varsity and USASF rules as well as the OCCA rules/guidelines when competing in Oregon.

Rogue will be offering the following teams for the 2023-2024 season
  • Tiny Team (3-6 year olds) practices are year round Mondays 4:00-5:00. Season officially starts in September with games and competition in Fall/winter.
  • Youth Traditional Competitive Rogue’s fast paced competitive team for athletes age 2nd-5th grade. Competitive experience is required and back handspring or above is encouraged. Team placements for youth age will take place in July 2023.
  • Youth Game Day Competitive Rogue’s competition team with a focus on Game day elements for ages 2nd-5th grade. Competitive experience is not required. Team placements for this team will take place in July 2023.
  • Junior Traditional Competitive Rogue’s elite competitive team for athletes 6th-8th grade athletes. Competitive experience is required and back handspring or above is encouraged.Tryouts for this team will take place in June 2023.
  • Junior Game Day Competitive Rogue’s fast paced competition team with a focus on Game day elements for athletes grades 6th-8th. Competitive experience is not required. Tryouts for this team will take place in June 2023.
  • Nationals Competitive Team Rogue’s elite competitive team for athletes in high school and a select few in middle school. For more information on our 2023-2024 Nationals team please go here.

HOW DO YOU MAKE A RENEGADE TEAM?

YOUTH TEAM (2nd-5th grade) placements will take place in July. Dates coming soon!

JUNIOR & UP (6th-12th grade) tryouts will take place June 19th-22nd. Please go here for more detailed information!

WHEN DO TEAM PRACTICES START?

TINY TEAM: practices are year round 4:00-5:00 every Monday. Athletes must begin in September in order to do fall/winter competitions.

YOUTH TEAMS: practices will begin in July and extend through February. A summer cheer camp for youth teams will take place in July or August. Competitions take place November-February. Practices September-February are mandatory. Practices will be in the after school hours 2 days a week.

JUNIOR TEAMS: practices will begin in July and extend through February. A summer cheer camp for Junior teams will take place in July or August. Competitions take place November-February. Practices September-February are mandatory. Practices will be in the after school hours 2-3 days a week.
