My competitive journey began in my formative years (1997-2003) as a figure skater, competing across Washington, California, and Oregon. This foundation in disciplined athletics naturally led me to competitive cheerleading from 2003 to 2007 at Cascade Christian High School. My deep passion for these sports, coupled with my faith in God, has always been a guiding force. This coming year of 2026 I will be celebrating twenty years of coaching, a milestone that truly humbles me and for which I’m honored to have been a part of. Beyond coaching, I’m a passionate advocate for non-affiliated cheer in Oregon and actively contribute to the future development of this exciting new division in both Oregon and California.
My coaching career officially began in 2006, with early roles at Grace Christian Middle School, Ashland High School, and North Medford High School. From 2008 to 2013, I coached at Crater High School, eventually serving as Head Coach for three of those five years, working with both sideline and competitive cheerleading teams. A significant chapter of my coaching then brought me back to Cascade Christian High School, where I had always dreamed of coaching. When I returned, the program had shifted to primarily sideline cheer, and my goal was to reignite the competitive spirit it held during my own high school years. As Head Cheerleading Coach for seven years (2013-2020), I had the privilege of guiding the team to top three finishes in the state for several years, before leading them to their first national competitions from 2016-2020. To help build a strong foundation, I also started Cascade Christian Rec Cheer in 2017 as a feeder program into the high school team.
In 2020, after several years of success with the recreational program, we made the pivotal decision to rebrand and launch Rogue Cheer Athletics. This strategic move allowed us to make competitive cheer more accessible to a wider range of athletes in the community, extending beyond just those attending Cascade Christian High School. Under my guidance, Rogue Cheer Athletics quickly became the first non-affiliated cheerleading program and gym in Oregon. We also had the distinction of being the first non-affiliated competitive team from Oregon to compete at national events in California, Las Vegas, and Florida. It’s incredibly rewarding to have trained athletes who have gone on to achieve D1 level success, including securing spots on teams like Oregon State University Cheer. Additionally, in 2024, I was excited to establish one of the first non-affiliated Level 4 teams, continuing to contribute to the evolving landscape of non-affiliated cheer.
The Future of Rogue Cheer Athletics
I am incredibly excited and proud of what we’ve built at Rogue Cheer Athletics. My number one goal for our gym is to provide a place where athletes can chase their competitive cheerleading dreams under coaches who truly love and value them. This holds true whether they are brand new to cheer or have been part of the sport their whole lives. The biggest compliment I ever hear, and one that deeply resonates with me, is when an athlete tells us that Rogue Cheer Athletics is their “happy place.” I love this sport and the community of Southern Oregon, and I genuinely hope to keep doing this forever. I am profoundly thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had over the years to make a positive impact through cheer.

Here’s a little about me outside of cheerleading: I’m a born and raised southern Oregonian who loves spending time with my family. My husband, Tony, is my high school sweetheart and a super smart physics engineer. We’re a busy family with three children: Clara Jo (7), Jude (11), and Desmond (15)! My family and I love making memories with our siblings and their children who all live here in the Rogue Valley. We enjoy visiting the beautiful Oregon Coast, our dogs Ahsoka and Indiana, playing video games, and watching Star Wars. Im also what some would describe as a “Disneyland junkie”! I live and breath competitive cheer and have for a majority of my life! I truly love what I get to do as owner and founder of Rogue Cheer Athletics. Most importantly, our faith in Jesus serves as the cornerstone of our lives. He is our unwavering hope and our source of strength each and every day. We strive to honor Him in all that we do ♡
